This day 7-night, while the parish girls of St. Martin's in the Fields were singing an anthem over the grave of a little girl then interr'd, the deal boards laid a-cross the grave, on which they stood, gave way, by which upwards of a dozen of them tumbled in, one upon another; and a little girl who was undermost, had her thigh broke, and two more had their arms crushed. |
