Yesterday morning at six o'clock, a body of about sixty
smugglers, arm'd with blunderbusses, pistols and cutlasses,
with a hundred horses, unloaded, march'd in procession over
London Bridge, and along the borough of Southwark, where
they pick'd up a drummer whom they made to beat before them,
and at Kent-street Turnpike, they fired at a sign of the
Green Man till they shot it down, after which they marched
on the Kentish road.
