London, March 8. . . The following is an exact copy of a
most extraordinary epistle sent on Thursday last by a lady
of distinguished rank, to another of no less consequence.
Madam, --------Place, Tuesday.
"Your behaviour last night, Madam, did not scape my notice--
I saw your sneers, Madam, about the pool and give me leave,
Madam now to say, Madam, that you are a very saucy, impudent
hussy--more than that I will say, I say your amores with a
known gamester is well known to all the town except your
husband, and I will not tell you Madam, that if ever you
behave again, Madam, in the like manner to me, I will slap
your face if its in the playhouse. I am not your humble
servant. To------ -----------"
