France.--This generous and lively people, have long set an
example of galantry and gasconade to all their neighbours. 
They have the singular pride to prescribe in the forms of
politeness, to give law to fashion, and to be considered as
the tutors, taylors, drill-serjeants, and dancing masters,
to all Europe.
