5 Nov 1776:21,22 (24)
Who steals my purse, steals trash; 'tis for nothing,
nothing--
Twas mine, 'tis his, & has been slave to thousands!
But he that filches from me my good name,
Robs me of that which not enriches him,
But makes me poor indeed!----'
[signed] Shakespear.
   To the Public.
At a time of general calamity, it may seem hardly
justifiable for an individual to trouble the public with is
own particular wrongs and sufferings. . . [159 lines of a
letter detailing the writer's complaints about a piece
appearing in a previous edition of the paper, signed]
Jonathan Wentworth.
