Messi'rs Fowles. You are desired to insert in your paper,
that on New Year's Day, Captain James Ayscough, of his
Majesty's Ship Swan, with his officers and jovial ships
company, join'd by Capt. Holland, Capt. Mowett, of his
Majesty's Ship Cancer, and a number of the principal
gentlemen of the town, made a grand parade (in procession)
with colours flying, drums beating, music playing, &c. and
waited on his Excellent Governor Wentworth, to pay him the
compliments of the season;--after which an elegant
entertainment was given at the Earl of Halifax-Tavern, which
ended in great friendship, harmony and jolity.
