Sept. 21. The ball at the Queens House on Monday night was
opened by his Majesty and her Grace the Dutchess of
Ancaster, & his Danish Majesty danced with the Queen, who,
notwithstanding her being pregnant, danced with great ease.
At the conclusion, which was near five in the morning, his
Majesty and the Dutchess of Ancester closed the
entertainment with a minuet, and about 6 o'clock their
majesties retired.
Her Royal Highness the Princess Dowager of Wales, the two
Princes of Saxe Gotha, and Princess Amelia, were at the ball
at the Queen's Palace on Monday evening.
Nothing can exceed the royal entertainment on Monday
evening at her Majesty's Palace, either in the company
present, provision, order and decorum; every minute article
plainly discovered it's magnificence, with that true
grandeur which always accompanies politeness, and every
suitable virtue.
