Westborough, November 12, 1766. This day Deacon Benjamin
Weed of this town, in the 54th year of his age, was married
to his fifth wife, the Widow Sarah Johnson. The Rev. Mr.
Barret of Hopkinston began the solemnity with prayer--the
Rev. Mr. Parkman of Westborough administred the Marriage
Covenant--The Rev. Mr. Whitney of Northborough made the last
prayer--after which an Epithalamium was sung. A sumptuous
entertainment was prepared for a large number of people
convened upon the occasion. (Pretty extraordinary.)
