Extract of a private letter from Montreal, Aug. 12. . . [17
lines of news]  We hear from France, that an old woman there
named Lort, who from time to time since, taught the learned
horse and dog, which were exhibited with such great success
in all parts of this Kingdom, is now teaching six sparrows
to dance country dances, and intends shortly to import them,
for the amusement of the  English.
