Taken away from the house of me the subscriber at the time
of the late fire and not yet return'd, the following
articles, viz. five Holland shirts; 8 pair white threat
stockings; 4 yards new Holland; 3 new damask napkins; . . .

Now as the proclamation has proved ineffectual to procure
restitution, and the beat of drum cannot rouse those
intestine plunderers,--whoever will give me proper
information of the person or persons who have so taken, or
do now conceal the above articles, and make due proof, so
that the party offending may be thereof convicted, shall
receive of me, upon such conviction, ten dollars, and so in
proportion for a lesser quantity of said goods.  [signed] W.
