Boston, November 19. We have just received the particulars
of Major Rogers and his party (consisting of 142 men)
destroying the Indian town of St Francis, as taken from the
Major's own mouth; but for want of time and room must defer
publishing the whole 'till next week, and shall only say,
that the night they arrived, the Indians were on a grand
dance; the major entered the town in the evening alone, went
thro' it, and was spoke to several times by the Indians, but
being dress'd in their manner pass'd undiscover'd. . . [23
lines about the destruction of the town and the people the
next morning.]
