Portsmouth, March 28.  Last Wednesday arrived in town, the
Hon. Major General Sullivan, from his seat at Durham:  He
was attended by a number of officers . . . [2 lines] and
other gentlemen of distinction on horseback, who conducted
him into town.  At his entrance he received the unfeigned
acclamations of the inhabitants, testified by loud huzzas:
the bells were set a ringing, and the Train of Artillery
discharged several rounds . . .
