London. . . Sept. 18. We hear from Bath, that a gentleman
of distinction having received great benefit by the use of
the waters of that city, hath presented the corporation with
a large union flag, 42 feet long, & 21 wide, which will be
display'd on the tower of the cathedral the 30th of October,
being his Majesty's birth day.
And we are further informed, that the inhabitants of Bath
are about raising by subscription 150 l. for two more bells
to be added to the eight at the abbey, which we hear will be
ready to be rung the same day.
