Dantizk, April 27.  Our magistrates and burghers persist in
their negative resolution, in spite of al the Czarina's
heavy cannon and mortars:. . . [21 lines; from
H[a]g[e]lberg:]  Upon our walls, and in the fortifications,
we have now 200 pieces of cannon planted; and our garrison,
to augment which the drum is daily beat in our streets with
good success, is between ten and twelve thousand men strong.
