On the 11th, in the afternoon, the King the Queen and Prince Xavia, arrived here with a retinue of 15,000 men. . .[for their coronation] The 14th, the King made his very magnificent entry on horseback. The cavalcade passed through the suburbs, the city, and the triumphal arches erected for that purpose, to the Royal Castle; and lasted, with the firing of cannon and ringing of bells, from eleven in the forenoon till six in the evening. |
