Paris, Aug. 5. Letters from Madrid of the 22d of July, bring
little news of moment: They tell us, that on the 25th, a
grand masquerade from the town house entered the square
before the palace there, and having passed thro' the
principal streets of the city, returned to the town house,
where a comedy was acted; and that afterwards they had
curious fireworks played off in the square before the town
house, which finished the rejoycings for the taking of Oran.
Rear Admiral Don Manuel Lopez Pinrado, who arrived at Cadiz
the 21st of June, with the Capitana and two other galleons,
has been made Lieutenant-General of his Catholick Majesty's
naval armies, and the Serjeant Major Don Nicolas de Celasco
is made Lieutenant-Colonel of Horse of the Queen.
