Charlestown, May 27. At North Edisto, on Wednesday night
last, Mr. Christoper Dennis was kill'd, by 2 men who came
lately from Cape Fear; one's name is Robinson, who professes
several businesses, as Butcher, dancing master, &c. the
other named Michael Cavino, they having no money, and Dennis
refusing to let them have more liquor, they knocked him on
the head with their gun, & kick'd him on the stomach, so
that he died in 4 hours after. Capt. Rawlins has sent a hue
& cry after 'em, but we don't hear they are yet taken.
