London, January 22. Tuesday being the birth of his Royal
Highness, Frederick Prince of Wales, who then enter'd into
the 24th year of his age, the same was usher'd in with
ringing of bells, and all other demonstrations of joy
throughout the city, the night concluded with bonfires and
other illuminations: But celebrated in a particular manner
by Mr. Thomas Frank, a Yorkshire gentleman, at his lodgings
in Salisbury Court near Fleet-Bridge, where he caused the
twelve bells of St. Brides to be rung all the evening, with
a great bonfire in the middle of the square, and gave plenty
of drink to the populace, which was exceeding numerous: At
his chambers, the windows were greatly illuminated, and a
pyramid of lighted candles in the balcony, where he
entertain'd his friends with wine and punch in an
extraordinary manner, with drums beating, trumpets sounding,
and other musick: They drank loyal healths; particularly to
his Royal Highness, and the rest of the Royal Family.
