Paris, October 12 N.S. . .  The grand ballet, given by the
King, which began the 5th past at 7 in the evening, was most
excessively fine and magnificent; and this festivity would
have been abundantly better, had not the rain penetrated the
linnen which was stretched over the court yard, and not a
little disconcerted the musical instruments.  The Queen not
finding herself well enough to venture, her Majesty could
not assist [   ] as she intended.
