Citation | NEWJ.728.001 1 Jan 1728:21 (41) London Nov. 2. Yesterday the King's birth day was solemnized at court in a most magnificent manner. The court went out of mourning on that occasion, was exceedingly numerous, and was exceeding gay and splendid. His Majesty received the compliments of the prime ministers of state, nobility, foreign ministers, &c. The guns in the para were fired to the number of his Majesty's years, and at night there was a fine ball at St. James's. |
