Rome, March 12,. . . March 14.  [illness and death of Pope;
body conveyed to Vatican Chapel of Pope Sixtus in procession
the Master of the ceremonies going before [the body], it was
conducted by the aforesaid Fathers, and the footmen,
encompass'd by the Swiss Guards and a troop of horse,
followed by seven pieces of cannon, and two trumpets, with
burning flambeax;. . . [then to Gregorian Chapel at St.
Peters for three days with the pope's feet sticking out
grates for people to kiss.]   On Thursday all the bells in
the city were rung. . .
