Headquarters, Williamsburg, October 30, 1777.  [Para. of
news of Burgoyne's surrender, followed by]
Agreeable to the above orders the troop in this garrison,
together with the city militia, formed a battalion on the
common at the court house, where they were reviewed . . . [6
lines] and the evening was celebrated with the ringing of
bells, illuminations, &c.
