Letters from a gentleman in Philadelphia, to his friends in
this place, dated the 2d instant, say-- "The whole attention
and conversation is wrapped up in the Congress, and every
mouth wishing them success--they are greatly respected, as
men of wisdom, from whom the people ardently expect the
salvation of America. . . [12 lines]  The members from
Virginia were just now received with ringing of bells, and
other marks of a most hearty welcome. . .
