Twenty guineas reward . . . [13 lines concerning theft of
two horses] About the same time was stolen, a new Negro man,
named Jack, about 30 years old, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high,
with a flat nose, plays well on a Negro banjor. He had on
and took with him, a leather hat, dark cloth coat, white
stockings, and coarse shoes.  There is the strongest
circumstantial proof that the above property was stolen by
one Isaac Butcher, an Englishman, about 30 years old, 5 feet
5 inches high, pitted with the small-pox, his cloathing, at
the time he did the robbery, . . . [details, 8 lines, "five
pounds reward for each or either", signed] Elisha Warfield,
Nathaniel Harris, Dec. 20, 1782.  N.B. It is imagined they
will make for the back parts of Pennsylvania or Virginia.
