Philadelphia, July 10.  Friday the 4th of July, being the
anniversary of independence of the United States of America,
was celebrated in this city with joy and activity.

A band of music, taken in Trenton the 26th of October last,
attended and heightened the festivity with fine performances
suited to the joyous occasion.

The toast was followed by a discharge of artillery and arms,
and a suitable piece of music by the band.
