In Congress, November 15, 1776. Resolved, that a bounty of
twenty dollars be paid to the commander, officers, and men
of such Continental ships or vessels of war as shall make
prize of any British ships or vessels of war, . . . [1/2

Captain, 30 dollars per calendar month
Lieutenant, 20 ditto
Serjeant, 8 ditto
Corporal, drum & fife each, 7 one third ditto
Privates, 6 two thirds ditto
