Baltimore December 24 1773. George Pointon, Dancing-Master,
next Friday, at eleven o'clock, A. M. proposes to open a
school in the front room of Mr. Little's house in South
Street, for the instruction of young gentlemen and ladies in
the various modes of dancing. Those Gentlemen and Ladies
who shall be pleased to favour him with the tuition of their
children, in the different branches of this genteel
accomplishment, may depend on his earnest attention to the
improvement of their behaviour, and his punctual endeavours
to perfect them in the newest modes of dancing, with the
greatest accuracy he is capable of. An evening school will
be opened for such young gentlemen, whose business will not
admit their attendance by day: to begin at six o'clock and
end at nine.
