London, June 8. . . We hear that the author of Musical
Travels thro' Germany imputes the advantages gained by the
Bostonians over the troops of General Gage, to those
inspiring notes so generally known by the name of Yankee
Doodle; and by no means wonder that the detachment headed by
Lord Percy was unsuccessful, considering that they marched
to the tune of Room for Cuckolds.
