New-York, October 25. [Report of the arrival and swearing
in of the Governor, John, Earl of Dunmore]
His Excellency then returned to the Fort, where their
Majesties, and many other loyal healths were drank, together
with success to his Excellency's administration; to which he
made a polite return; after which an elegant dinner was
introduced for the gentlemen of the Army and government, &c.
In the evening there was a Ball, and the city handsomely
illuminated.
