[In ongoing conflict re clergy and vestries, a vicious piece
including the following lines:]
. . . The next that came in my thoughts, was that of the
Clerk of the Parish, to become, like my brother P.P. of
immortal memory, a shred of the vestment of Aaron.  A fine
Bass voice, but can't pitch the organ!  A Sexton--bones and
sculls put me too much in mind of --mortality. . . [signed]
