New-York, April 9. . . Sir William Johnson, since the
prisoners were brought to him, has received advice of the
success of a party of ten friendly Indians, falling in with
a party of nine Delawares last month, on the frontiers of
Pennsylvania, directing their course against some
settlements, and singing their WAR SONGS; upon which the
Friend Indians attacked them, killed the head of the party,
and took three prisoners. . .
