Charles-Town (South-Carolina) July 12. . . [at end of
several narratives of action against Cherokee Indians near
Fort Prince-George, report of casualties:]  Of the
highlanders, two serjeants, and six rank and file were
killed; four officers, a surgeon's mate, one serjeant, one
piper, and 25 rank and file wounded, some but very slightly.
--No Indians have been seen or heard of, since they were
beat off the 30th in the morning.
