Sunday last being the birth day of the Right Honourable the
Lord Baltimore, proprietary of this province, when he
enter'd into the twenty-third year of his age, the same was
observed here on Monday. His Excellency the Governor made
an elegant entertainment at his own house at dinner . . . [3
lines] and in the evening his Excellency gave a public ball
in the Council Chamber, where all the loyal healths were
repeated; and the ball lasted 'til two o'clock, at which the
ladies and gentlemen made a gay appearance . . .
