On Monday last was held on the North Side of Severn, for the
first time in the memory of man, a fair, where were run
several horse races, for sundry good prizes; and a fine
smock was run for, by certain persons, who were not all of
the female sex, which was won by a well legged girl. The
day was concluded by two sumptuous balls, at two several
places.
Upon Thursday the 28th of this instant June, will be
performed at Upper Marlborough, a grand concert of music,
with many instruments, in the ball room: The evening will be
concluded with a ball. Tickets may be had at Mr. Benjamin
Barry's, Mr. Benjamin Brookes's, and at Mrs. Hillary's, in
Marlborough.
