London.  Extract of a letter from Alnwick, Dated June 29. 
For some time past this neighbourhood has been infested with
a gang of rogues, commonly employed in ballad singing,
begging, or fortune telling; and on Saturday last a man and
a woman (said to be his wife) both of the last named
profession, were whipp'd and sent to the Tower. . . [18
