Run away on the 13th of October, from David Long,
Blacksmith, an Irish servant named John Griffin, a weaver by
trade, about 24 years of age. He is a full-faced likely
fellow, talks much of being a soldier, is pretty much given
to drinking and singing, and has sore legs. He had on when
he went away, an old check shirt, an old brown coat, a
cotton waist-coat, a pretty good castor hat, an old pair of
pumps, and an old pair of cotton stockings.
Whoever brings the said servant to the subscriber, living
near Annapolis, not far from Mr. Rutland's, shall have three
pounds reward beside when the law allows. [signed] David
Long.
