Philadelphia, July 4.  Yesterday being the anniversary of
American Independence, it was celebrated here by the ringing
of bells, firing of canon, &c. . . [8 lines, compliments,
entertainment]  In the evening the public were entertained
with an exhibition called a triumphal car, prepared by Mr.
Mason, attended with music, and a number of little boys and
girls dressed in white, carrying torches.
