London. . . Extract of a letter from Pembroke, Sept. 15. 
Yesterday a large French cutter put into Fishguard, a port
twelve miles from hence, and took ten sloops, which they
ransomed for 100 guineas each; and now the drums are beating
to arms to call the Brecknockshire militia; (in this town)
to the assistance of the inhabitants, as they are determined
to burn Fishguard, if they will not pay 4000L. . .
