Run away from the subscriber on Christmas Day, a Negroe
fellow named Joe. He is well known in town, being a
fiddler, and used to play at the Assembly; had on when he
went away a light coloured coat and a brown jacket; he is of
a very black complexion, has a remarkable high nose, and one
of his legs is smaller than the other; he halts when he
walks slow, but if he walks quick it cannot be perceived.
He is a very artful fellow, and may endeavour to pass as
free. All persons are hereby cautioned against harbouring or
carrying him off, on pain of being prosecuted as the law
directs. Forty shillings reward, with all reasonable
charges, will be given to any person who will deliver him to
the warden of the work-house in Savannah, or to James
Alexander.
