Wilmington, North-Carolina, . . . March 27.  On Thursday
evening Lord Adam Gordon arrived here from South-Carolina;
he was saluted on his arrival by a discharge of 15 pieces of
cannon, and on Friday evening an elegant bail [=ball] was
given by the principal gentlemen of this borough, in honor
of his lordship, which was attended by a great number of
ladies and gentlemen, at the house of Mr. John Campbell. . .
