Ratispon, June 23. A village named Vohenstraus, six miles
from Saltibach, which had been already burnt down four
times, and since the last rebuilt in a most beautiful
manner, has lately been destroyed by fire a fifth time. On
the 9th of June, in the afternoon, a fire broke out in the
market place, which, by the violence of the winds, in less
than half an hour set fire to the whole market, whereby 112
dwellinghouses, lot barns, the church, steeple, and bells,
the town-house with the record, the Protestant and Romish
places of publick worship, together with all their effect
and libraries, and all the schools, were reduced to ashes. .
