To Sic Vos non Vobis, Americanus, Caveto.
   You are engaged, gentlemen, in a work which does you
honour  flinch not, but as soon as you perceive danger blow
the trumpet, and whatever measures you may think proper to
adopt in regard to British merchants or their deputies,
whether they are our fellow citizens or subjects of the
tyrant George the third, you will be supported in, by
[signed] Thousands.  October 11, 1783.
