Dear Sir, I have the pleasure to inform you, that the
Serpent cutter, of 18 guns, . . . [arrived in the Chesapeake
with 28 ships of the line, blocking up Cornwallis. 28 lines,

Upon the above news arriving in this city, the bells of
Christ Church were rung, and joy appeared in every
countenance. . .
