[Philadelphia] August, 24. Yesterday being the anniversary
of the birth of his Most Christian Majesty, Lewis the XVIth,
the vessels in the harbour were decorated with union flags--
thirteen rounds were fired from many of them, as also from
the state artillery, at the Coffee house. The bells were
ran; and in the evening the city was entertained by a most
brilliant display of fire-works, from a stage erected before
the door of his Excellency the President of the State. . .
