Upon a gentleman's entering any genteel town it will be
necessary in the first place to accommodate himself with

should not be very short) you may take the liberty of taking
hold of the ladies hands and if you please, shake it as you
would a sailors (this ought never to be omitted in giving
hands in dancing) then make some extravagant speeches. . .
