Extract of a letter from Paris. Mr. Rousseau, a little time
before his death, was advised by his physicians to retire
from the capital to Ermenenville, on account of a violent
pain in his head. . . on the evening of his death, he heard
the daughter of the Marquis de Gerardin sing, and proposed
to have given her a lesson on music the next day. In the
morning he rose at 5, walked till 9, and intended to have
waited on the young lady, when he was taken ill. . .
