In the war in Flanders the celebrated Dr. Young, author of
the Night Thoughts, attended the English camp, in quality of
almoner. One day being deeply engaged in reading the
tragedies of Eschylus, he entered in his reverie, the camp
of the enemy, he was surprized to find himself seized: He
was taken as a spy, and was conducted to the General. . .
[reveals his name, given liberty to return to English camp.]
