Norwich, July 7. [Report is made of a British sympathizer
coming to town.]
On Wednesday morning at 7 o'clock, Mr. Manning, the grave
digger, announced the before mentioned gentleman's arrival,
by ringing the meeting-house bell; a numerous and
respectable course of people instantly appeared upon the
plain, and appointed a committee who waited upon Mr. Green,
and desired him to depart; [Unwelcome visitor given choice
of a horse and cart furnished by the town or his own
carriage.]. . . he chose the latter, and set out properly
attended, with drums beating and horns blowing, &c.
