London, March 5. Thursday five persons were apprehended by
Mr. Gates, the City Marshal, for singing ballads in St.
Paul's Church-Yard, and other parts of the city, reflecting
on her Danish Majesty, and others of the Royal Family; the
Right Hon. the Lord Mayor committed them to the Bridewell to
hard labour, and hath given strict orders to the Marshal to
patrole the streets diligently, and to bring before him all
persons that he shall find offending in so infamous and
scandalous a manner.
