To all gentlemen and ladies in Salem and Marblehead, that
incline to have themselves or children taught in the genteel
accomplishments of speaking French, Musick, Fencing, and
Dancing.--- Messrs. R.and G. Virat, accidentally thrown into
this town by misfortunes, propose to open a school for any
of the above purposes, at the low price of half a dollar
entrance, and two dollars per quarter, for each person in
each of the above arts; and as their misfortunes are pretty
singular, they implore the kind assistance of the public;
and their favours shall be most greatfully acknowledged by
The public's most obedient and humble servants,
Robert Virat, George Virat.
They will open school at the Assembly House in Salem, and
will procure a room at Marblehead as soon as a sufficient
number of scholars appear.
